Pasqua’s Monte comes from high altitude vineyards, at 300 to 500m above sea level between Chieti and Casalbordino. The altitude and proximity to the Adriatic Sea provide structure and balance to this intensely coloured and full-bodied variety. Traditional winemaking was employed, with fermentation at higher temperatures, extended maceration and full malolactic fermentation, all in stainless steel. Although unoaked, this is a deep and rich red, full of spice and ripe fruit flavours of blackberry and morello cherry.
