A classic South Australian claret style, the grape variety ratios are usually around 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Shiraz and 20% Merlot. It was matured for 18 months in a combination of French and American barriques and hogsheads. It presents as a full-bodied dry red with lifted plum, blackcurrant and spicy aromas balanced by subtle oak and earthy notes. Ripe plum and blueberry fruit characters fill the palate while savoury tannins lead to a dry finish
