This is a fruit-forward and highly fragrant, silky Grenache, developing a formidable reputation in the show circuit in the last five years. Earlier picked parcels were either fully destemmed or underwent partial carbonic maceration, while the later picked parcels were selected from low cropping older vines, a portion of this fruit spending significantly more time on skins to add textural complexity.

This is a fruit-forward Grenache, extremely fragrant with a complex combination of raspberry fruit, orange peel and musk. The palate is medium-bodied yet effortlessly light on its feet, with concentrated red fruits and delicate hints of rose and white pepper. Fine tannins and crunchy acidity round out a moreish finish.

“It’s not overdone but it’s pretty seductive for its texture and overall flavour profile. You can see why it’s been winning friends and influencing people. It’s pretty with red berried fruit, a little herbal, a little marshmallow-y, a touch inclined towards red licorice, but then littered with sweet spice notes through the finish, even as the fruit continues to run. Tannin is fine, integrated, melted within. Basically you can’t go wrong with this.” 94 points, Campbell Mattinson, The Winefront
