Inspired by the Maglieri Family’s Italian origins and passion for the Mediterranean lifestyle, Serafino’s Bellissimo range features indigenous grapes of Italy crafted in modern, innovative styles. Serafino were early planters of Fiano here, a grape that will now be forever linked with the McLaren Vale region. Cool fermented in stainless steel, all vinification choices were made in order to preserve aromatics and lift. It’s a very perfumed example of the variety, with a passionfruit and pear bouquet. Citrus and stone fruits enter on the palate, which has a mouth-watering elegance and slippery, slightly waxy texture. This is the ideal partner for fresh seafood, or served as a summer aperitif.

“From two sites. A taut and racy expression of fiano on the cooler side of ripeness, with notes of melon, snow pea tendril, green pear and lime juice, alongside some stone fruit notes. It’s more about linearity than texture, somewhat mouth-puckeringly fresh, with lighter concentration ideal for a good chill on sunny days. This did see some older oak ageing, and it will likely flesh out more in a short time.” 89 points, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
