A classic Rhône-inspired blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, this is sourced from premium vineyards across McLaren Vale. Crafted to showcase the region’s reputation for rich yet balanced Mediterranean varieties, the wine combines Grenache’s fragrance and red-fruit vibrancy, Shiraz’s depth and generosity, and Mataro’s savoury complexity and structure. The result is a medium- to full-bodied red that balances fruit intensity, spice and texture while remaining approachable and highly food friendly.

Deep red with vibrant purple hues, the wine opens with lifted aromas of rose petal, violet, plum, blackberry and subtle tobacco spice. The palate is generous and silky, layered with ripe plum, dark berries and hints of coffee, cedar and savoury spice. Fine tannins and bright acidity provide balance and structure, leading to a long, smooth finish with excellent drinkability.

“A strong vintage has produced a strong wine. By strong I don’t just mean that there’s ample flavour but more that the flavours are in the right zone: perfumed, fresh, red berried and spice laden, with lacy tannin keeping the impression firm but light. The longer I sat with this the more excellent it seemed. Raspberry and red liquorice meet woodsy spice, undergrowth and aromatic herbs, with slightly gritty tannin an absolute positive. Factor in the price and this is a pretty compelling offering.” 94 points, Campbell Mattinson, Winefront
