Inspired by the Maglieri Family’s Italian origins and passion for the Mediterranean lifestyle, Serafino’s Bellissimo range features indigenous grapes of Italy crafted in modern, innovative styles. The Sangiovese vineyards on the estate are planted to three different clones, which help the team to produce bright and flavoursome Sangiovese wines with a lovely breadth of varietal character. Each parcel is harvested separately and destemmed for a whole bunch fermentation in open fermenters. After malolactic fermentation the parcels are blended and matured briefly in older French oak and tank.

“Bell-clear varietal notes here, with cherry front and centre, a light winemaking hand allowing the fruit to take the lead. There’s a juicy friendliness, like a lightly oaked Sangiovese di Romagna, ideal for splashing around at a table set in the shade of Tuscan pines, a feast laid out for languorous pleasure. Oh, I like this, the layers of dried, fresh and sour cherries, the sun-warmed hardy herbs, the hints of spice and terracotta. Medium weight, vibrant and so well balanced. A delight.” 93 points, Mark Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
