Named for the village in Castelnuovo Berardegna the Vallepicciola estate calls home, this is 100% Pinot Noir, taken from younger plantings on the home vineyard. Harvested earlier to capture vibrant acidity, hand-picked fruit sees a short cryomaceration before pressing, which helps freeze all the bright berry varietal characters in time. The wine sees no oak, but has a short maturation in bottle before release.

Intensely coloured and with a bold aromatic profile, strawberry and rose prevail on the nose. In the mouth, succulent berry bursts and melon balance a savoury touch. It finishes fresh and zippy, the perfect accompaniment to heartier seafood dishes like salmon sushi or octopus salad.
