Howard Park’s Miamup Cabernet is sourced from several sites located in the Wilyabrup sub region and north to Wildwood Road in Margaret River. The individual vineyard blocks are vinified separately in tank, and then maturation occurs in French oak for approximately 18 months. A benchmark style of Margaret River Cabernet, this is consistently one of the better value wines from the Howard Park stable.

“A solid wine of purpose and power, presented with restraint and refinement. After 18 months in French oak, all components have integrated seamlessly, with oak tannins providing strong structural support. Classic Cabernet characters of blackcurrant, leaf and black olive are all present. Dry, savoury tannins carry through to a balanced finish. Excellent value.” 92 points, Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot

“The nose is deeply perfumed, giving aromas of blackcurrants, boysenberries, cinnamon bark and rose petals. The full-bodied palate has finely integrated tannins, showing wild blackberries, graphite, salt brine and dried herbs. Very complex and refined.” 95 points, James Suckling

“Comes from a number of vineyards in Wilyabrup. This is a firmish statement of Margaret River cabernet delivered with poise and ease. Power red fruit aromas from this warm vintage punch through on the nose. The palate has a juicy fruit richness with blackcurrant and a little coffee and dark chocolate. Has a vibrant sarsaparilla lift through the palate.” 93 points, Ray Jordan
