The name “Flint Rock” epitomizes the fine mineral structure and savoury elegance of wines grown in the remote and beautiful Great Southern region of Western Australia. From Porongurup, the line and length of bright citrus with savoury minerals and lifted spice harmonises beautifully with Mount Barker’s juicy apple fruit flavours and zesty perfume. Each vineyard block was vinified separately in stainless steel tanks—with long, cool fermentations to preserve freshness and fine fruit flavours.
2025
“A cracking Riesling from the Great Southern region in Western Australia, which is also seriously good value. 2025 is proving to be an excellent vintage… Pale lemon in colour, the nose gives us notes of citrus, florals, grapefruit pith, lemon curd, oyster shells and a minerally backing. The wine has focus, excellent balance and very good length, with good concentration throughout. A really impressive Riesling which is great buying, it has room for further improvement. Enjoy it over the next twelve to fifteen years.” 94 Points, Ken Gargett, WinePilot
2024
“Pretty as a picture! The Flint Rock Riesling never fails to delight whenlooking for a thirst-quenching, fresh, textural and floral Riesling. Thenose is laced with a field of spring blooms, rock salt, and rose essence.A pirouette of minerality spins until the last sip. Lemon pith and limeblossom are grounded in taut limestone foundations. Racy acidity ispartnered with chalky phenolics, painting a complete picture with longbrush strokes. Effortlessly morish.” 94 Points, Cassandra Charlick, Wine Pilot
2023
“The 2023 has key lime, and sea spray, undercut by the florals and lemon sherbet. Juicy, vibrant acidity washes over the palate, unveiling a spectrum of citrus and stone fruit and a pleasing textural dimension. Subtle mineral undertones guide the way to a crisp yet enduring finish.” 93 points, Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion
