Howard Park’s traditional méthod sparkling rosé is built around Pinot Noir, sourced from the cool-climate vineyards of Western Australia’s southern wine regions, predominantly from the Mount Barrow vineyard in Great Southern. Hand-harvested fruit is whole-bunch pressed, with only the finest free-run juice retained before fermentation in stainless steel and selected oak vessels, while extended lees maturation contributes texture, complexity and finesse. Pinot Noir provides the wine’s hallmark red berry character and delicate colour, while a small proportion of Chardonnay adds freshness and precision. Crafted in an Extra Brut style, Jeté Rosé balances vibrant acidity, fine mousse and savoury complexity with bright fruit expression and exceptional drinkability.

The current release of Jeté Rosé is based on the 2021 vintage. It has had a minimum of 37 months on lees, and was disgorged in batches as an Extra Brut style. It contains 87% Pinot Noir and 13% Chardonnay.
“My favourite of the Jeté range, this is a cracking Rosé, and wonderful value when compared with similar wines around the globe. Perhaps we should not be surprised with Nic Bowen as the winemaker, given the time he spent with Ed Carr at Arras. For me, the current sparkling releases under the Jete label are the best I’ve seen. A gentle pink hue, this is a fresh and elegant style with excellent focus and impressive length. There is a creamy texture and fine balance throughout. Hints of raspberries, cranberries, pink grapefruit, spices and a touch of strawberry, with a fine line of oystershells and sea breezes in support. “Consistently my favourite wine from the Howard Park sparkling wine program. The latest NV release is based around the 2021 vintage and is noticeably drier, finer and more savoury than previous releases. With a minimum of 31 months ageing on lees and some oak barrel usage in the base wines, this poised, elegant sparkling has some subtle base notes of dough, olive bread and toast, but the aromatics of cherry, wild strawberry and pomegranate sit forward and pretty.
