Sourced entirely from 27-year-old organically grown vines in the sandy soils of Blewitt Springs, Down the Rabbit Hole’s straight Grenache walks the line between modern perfumed Pinot-esque styles and the structure of the past (without the overuse of oak which followed this). Winemaking includes 10% whole-bunch fruit with open-top wild yeast fermentation, followed by malolactic in stainless steel and finally, 10 months maturation in large-format, seasoned French oak foudres.
2025
A vintage of true depth and character, 2025 brought an early harvest due to warm summer heatwaves, concentrating the fruit while late rains refreshed the vines. Bright cherry-red in color, it presents rose petal and cinnamon aromatics over a structured palate with red summer fruits, powdery tannins and a savoury, focused finish.
