This is a Grenache-heavy blend, with Shiraz and Mataro from McLaren Vale’s Willunga and Sellicks foothills. Fermented in small open vessels with 10% whole-bunch on the Grenache, the wine is treated with gentle care to achieve balanced colour and tannin extraction. The components mature separately for 10 months in seasoned French oak hogsheads and puncheons before final blending.
2025
The 2025 is composed of 63% Grenache, 25% Shiraz, and 12% Mataro. It shows aromas of ripe raspberry, dark plum and baking spice, delivering a plush, velvety palate complemented by cocoa and herbs. It finishes plush and enveloping with fine-grained tannins.
