Stefano Stefani’s childhood was surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in the little village of Lonnano, Tuscany. He came to Australia in 1981, and discovered great opportunities to create beautiful vineyards when he purchased his Yarra Valley property in 1997. This wine however is sourced from various sites in the northern parts of Heathcote, an area he has always admired for its rich and concentrated Shiraz wines. Fruit was hand harvested and matured in large-format French oak for 15 months.

Dark ruby purple in colour it exhibits hints of dark blackberry fruit on the nose, with undertones of freshly ground coffee and allspice. The palate is deep and intense, with well-integrated spicy oak and fine-grained tannins. It can be enjoyed now and will cellar well for another decade.
