Rather than a baby-Champagne, this Crémant de Bourgogne is a true representation of Burgundy, with a blend of all four key grapes: Chardonnay, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Aligoté, all hand-harvested from within the Bourgogne region. It’s a non-vintage bottling, with around a quarter of the blend comprised of reserve wines, bottled towards the richer end of ‘brut’.
A blushed pink hue in the glass, red summer berries are accompanied by aromas of apple strudel and ozone. Flavours of clementine, pink lady apple and toffee lead to candied citrus peel and a lingering sherbetty back palate. Rounded and generous in style, brilliant acidity ensures a crisp, bone-dry finish.
