Marchand & Burch Village Rosé

This Pinot Noir/Grenache blend is sourced from the southwest of Western Australia, predominantly from the Great Southern area. Immediate pressing ensures the lightest tinge of pink. Some batches are held cold on lees and stirred daily for up to a week prior to fermentation. The juice ferments in stainless steel and older French oak with weekly lees stirring from late in the fermentation until dry. During a short oak maturation, partial malolactic occurs.

2025

“Bright cerise. Fragrant and floral. Red summer berries, pink grapefruit, hibiscus tea, nectarine slices, peaches n’ cream confectionary, tomato leaf and dusty brown spice… Dry palate, carrying good flesh and depth… tight bright finish with chalky grip. A mature and worthy rosé.” 92 points, Vino Notebook

2024

“A pale, coppery, pastel pink; a touch estery with a rose and lavender fragrance, while the palate is complete with some grainy texture and fine acidity. Flavours of cherry compote, watermelon and rind with a sprinkling of Moroccan mint, then finishes fresh and dry.” 93 points, Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion
