Referring to the foot of the hillside vineyards in the Classico zone, Bonacosta is richer in topsoil and benefits from soft valley breezes and an excellent exposition. The blend is classic Valpolicella with a breakdown of approximately 70% Corvina, with 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara. It was aged for six months in large-format Slavonian oak, with just 20% reserved to mature in smaller new casks.
Partnering freshness and bold primary fruit with velvety power, an intense bouquet is full of ripe cherries and spice. This leads to a fruitful and fleshy palate with good acidity and soft, silky tannins.

From the first nose, this wine invites us to discover a rich aromatic spectrum, ranging from cherries, plums and raspberries, to more complex touches of licorice, spices and cloves, all enhanced by delicate floral and vanilla notes. On the palate, its brightness seduces immediately, imbuing a sensation of lingering freshness. The tannins prove to be very supple and culminate in a silky finish that captivates the palate.” Bacchus Magazine
