This Premier Cru was sourced from no less than 120 parcels across Maison Forget-Brimont’s 19-hectare estate in the Montagne de Reims area, parcels selected by the winemaking team of Vallepicciola and followed from beginning to end by both houses. The blend is 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Meunier and 20% Chardonnay, with reserve wine harvested from 2011 to 2018 joining a base vintage of 2019 before being sent back to bottle for secondary fermentation and a rest in the deep chalk cellars at the Maison for 30 months. It was disgorged with 5 g/L dosage in late 2022.
Broad and deep, this has subtle notes of white flowers, citrus and white stone fruit. The palate is linear and persistent, with red fruit, pink grapefruit and florals, finishing with hints of candied fruit and brioche.
