The Venezie DOC encircles the lowlands of Veneto, the hills of Friuli-Venezie Giulia and the mountains of Trento. Known for fruit with vibrant pear, pineapple, acacia blossom and mountain herb characters, it’s one of the better regions to choose to produce an easy-drinking Pinot Grigio. The fruit was sourced across a variety of landscapes, providing flavours that come together with both complexity and balance. After a gentle pressing, fermentation was in stainless steel at a cool temperature, and was followed by aging on lees in tank for four months, with just a touch of bâtonnage.

Crisp, bright, dry and extremely versatile, this really punches above its weight for value. It suits a range of seafood and white meat dishes and works especially well with fresh-flavoured Asian recipes.

“Alpine spices and green apple lead into an up-front and tangy palate which envigorates the tastebuds. While it’s not overly complex it’s a refreshing white, and at this price it won’t disappoint” 88 points, Top Value, Gabrielle Poy, The Real Review
