Fresco interprets a renewed vision of sustainability for Masi, being organic, vegan and minimal-intervention wines. Both the white and red are wild yeast fermented and have no oak interferance. The bottle was designed in collaboration with world-famous architect Piero Lissoni, to be light, elegant and yet strong all at once, joining Masi’s drive towards 100% sustainability for their brand.
The rosso is a 70/30 Corvina/Merlot blend, harvested early morning from vineyards in Zuane, in the province of Verona. Oxidative handling, soft pressing and cool, wild yeast fermentation all aid in the capture of aromatic and digestible primary fruit ranging from pomegranate to blackberry in nature. With light body and crunchy acidity and regional cherry/almond backnotes, despite its modern styling it’s identifiably Veronese in origin.
