Fantini Sangiovese Terre d’Abruzzo IGT

Fantini’s Sangiovese is from the communes of Ortona and San Salvo, on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. The fruit is gently destemmed before maceration and fermentation, then aged predominantly in stainless steel, with just 10-20% sent to oak. The cool breezes coming off the sea each afternoon help to balance acidity and develop complex characters in the grapes, which along with the uncomplicated winemaking, bring cherry and spice to the fore along with a lip-smacking and moreish mouthfeel.
