A Riesling for purists, Superstition comes from long-established Watervale old vines (80+ years) which deliver low yields, compact fruit and lifted aromatics. Made from 100% free-run juice with gentle pressing and slow, cool fermentation to preserve varietal purity, the wine is tense and energetic — bright citrus lift and a clear Watervale mineral thread lead the line while a sly, rhythmic tension and a hint of spicy intrigue give the wine a quietly magnetic groove and the structure to repay medium to long-term cellaring.

“The wine exhibits precision and excellent clarity, presenting aromas of crisp apple, green rockmelon, lime zest, and lemon pith, complemented by a hint of floral notes. On the palate, it is brilliantly focused, showing outstanding fruit purity and balance, and is beautifully structured, with a complex mouthfeel and delicate texture. The finish is taut and linear, demonstrating superb composition and refinement, and is impressively long.” 95 points, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
“Shows its Watervale pedigree style from the start with a rising citrus lime perfume and floral aromatics. So pretty. Combines the aromatic with a strong sense of citrus in lime cordial, ripe apple, gentle spice and some exotic ginger and kaffir lime notes. Juicy and full of life, it carries a bright acid spine. Time is on its side. “ 93 points, Australian Vintage Journal 2026
