Castello Del Terriccio ‘Con Vento’ Bianco Toscana IGT

Con Vento (‘with wind’) is an opulent white almost equal parts Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, grown on stony, fossil‑rich soils on the mid-slopes of the estate with south to southwest exposures. Named for the estate’s exposure to strong coastal breezes that influence both vineyard climate, it’s a planting that has beautifully uniform ripening, vibrant acidity and concentrated aromatics. Grapes are harvested in the early morning and undergo double selection, followed by 24 hours of cold maceration, soft pressing, and stainless‑steel fermentation. Each variety ages separately on fine lees with periodic bâtonnage, for six months without malolactic fermentation.

2024

The 2024 vintage presents a clean, modern Tuscan white style defined by freshness, pure aromatics and balanced texture. Viognier brings stone‑fruit depth, while Sauvignon Blanc adds acidity, citrus and herbal notes. Lees aging provides additional mid‑palate weight without reducing the wine’s naturally bright, maritime‑influenced profile.
