Named after the space above the original winery where the fortified barrels were stored, this is the 2023 bottling of a blend averaging 10 years in age. While some of Sevenhill’s Verdelho is used for white wine production, a portion of the grapes are left on the vine as long as possible to draw in sugar and develop tropical and dried apricot flavours. This helps Sevenhill to produce a wine similar to a high quality Portuguese Madeira, with a balance of candied citrus peel and caramelised nuts with an intriguing acid line and languorous finish.
