A traditional Clare blend made in Claymore’s unmistakably contemporary way, this wine consistently reflects the region’s ability to balance structure with generous fruit, bringing together Cabernet’s fine tannins, leafy lift and blackcurrant depth with Malbec’s plush dark‑plum richness and mid‑palate weight. Usually Cabernet-Sauvignon-dominant at around 75%, maturation is in older French oak for 14 months.

“A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (75%) and Malbec (25%), and while the maker regards the 2023 vintage as one built on patience, it was certainly rewarded. This is one elegant, beautifully defined and executed young red. Subtly, it works its considerable charm. Dark purple-crimson hues. Dark cherries, plums, warm roasted spice and mint run smooth and long, framed in supple tannins. Holds the line beautifully. How good is this for $25!” 94 points, Jeni Port, Australian Vintage Journal 2026
“Dark fruit richness leads the way, accompanied by toasted spice, dried herb, and toasted almond notes. It’s beautifully weighty and plump in the mouth, delivering a fleshy texture and chalky tannins. Wonderfully structured with a sustained, robust finish. “ 93 points, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
