Features the artwork of UK based illustrator Helena Perez Garcia, an artist long admired by Nitchingham – this one her piece Liliana, an emotional piece which reflects the spice and earthy complexity of Sangiovese, which in this case has been composed to exist boldly in its varietal nature rather than be overtaken by winemaking artifice. Estate fruit from the Auburn site was fermented traditionally and matured for 9 months in seasoned French oak.

“A fine local Sangiovese from the Clare Valley, with entirely new packaging, this is a delicious drink which is also excellent value. An appealing cherry red hue, the nose exhibits notes of warm earth, tomato bush, spices, red cherries and raspberries. There is good energy here, bright acidity and fine satiny tannins. A wine of decent length, it will provide pleasure for the next five to six years.” 92 points, Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot
“Fruity, vivid and mellow, this showcases aromas of cherries, grilled herbs and mild spices, following through to a medium body with fine tannins and fresh acidity. Crunchy with a seductive texture. Balanced and flavorful. Drink or hold.” 91 points, James Suckling
