The Duke Grenache takes its name from Adam, the second generation at Gibson, whose “dukes‑up” reputation on the footy field has become part of the wine’s identity. The wine is built around that same mix of boldness and lively energy, expressed through 100% Grenache sourced from Barossa and Eden Valley sites. True to the Dirtborn philosophy that began with Rob Gibson’s geological roots, this wine reflects an ongoing commitment to uncovering character in unexpected places. It is matured for ten months in a combination of tank and French oak hogsheads, a gentle approach that preserves vibrancy while giving the wine subtle structure.

Aromas lean toward red fruits like cherry and raspberry, lifted by dried flowers and a hint of white pepper. The palate sits comfortably in the medium‑bodied zone, carrying lively flavours of cranberry, cherrystone and red apple skin. Fine, chalky tannins stretch out the finish, giving the wine delicacy without losing its sense of momentum.
