Discovery Road Graciano Rosé began almost by accident, when a neighbouring grower suddenly needed a home for a parcel of Graciano after a contract fell through. Gibson took the fruit in as a one‑off favour, only to discover just how compelling the variety could be. Graciano is unusual in the Barossa, deeply coloured and naturally high in tannin, which makes crafting a pale, dry rosé more technical than it sounds. Its natural acidity and aromatics, however, encouraged the team to handle it with care, producing a delicate pink wine made entirely in stainless steel to preserve freshness and vibrancy.
2025
The 2025 season was one of the hottest and driest on record, marked by severe spring frost and drought that significantly reduced yields across the region. Despite the challenges, the resulting rosé shows unusual depth and fullness, with concentrated flavours and strong varietal character. The wine shows delicate pink colour and a fragrance of rose petals, musk, red currant and raspberry. On the palate, it leans savoury and bright, with acidity reminiscent of red apple skin and flavours of cranberry and raspberry bringing both crunch and juiciness. The finish lands clean and crisp, keeping the wine refreshing and easy to return to.
