Bottaro Chianti DOCG

A Chianti sculpted by dynamic oenologist Sabino Russo, Bottaro fruit is sourced from several sites in the Chianti DOCG production area, mainly from the lower-lying hills of Pisa, Florence and Sienna. The aim was to produce an extremely digestible Chianti for the table, something that both harkened back to traditional styling, but took advantage of contemporary technique and innovation – all at a digestible price.
To this end, the wine is a completely unoaked style, with Sangiovese fruit selected for its bright primary fruit character and the micro-regionality that contributes harmonious complexity to the blend.

2024

A forward, medium-bodied, cherry-fruited wine with earthy hints and a refreshing violet top-note.

2022

“Bright in the glass. Pretty aromas of cherry, violets, dried flowers, bouquet garni and nutty oak. Sweet on entry, fleshy, earthy and blue fruited. There’s a decent drive of tannins and the acidity is fresh and crunchy.” Recommended, Top Value Rating, Aaron Brasher, The Real Review
