Mansion House Bay

Sauvignon Blanc from the Southern Valleys, Wairau Valley and Awatere sub-regions of Marlborough

The actual Mansion House is located at Kawau Island in the North of New Zealand, and is where Greg White proposed to Sue in 1998 not long before the pair co-founded the company that now produces Whitehaven Wines. A name rooted in nostalgia rather than location, Mansion House Bay Wines are actually from Marlborough in New Zealand’s South Island.

Whitehaven owns estate vineyards in all three subregions of Marlborough (Southern Valleys, Wairau Valley and Awatere), providing excellent potential for blends in this Mansion House Bay range to harness the differences between them. The winemaking team is headed up by Peter Jackson, an Australian with experience stretching across Margaret River, Alsace, Oregon and more. The wines are made from 100% Marlborough fruit in a style that speaks of honesty and integrity.
