In 1993, Enrico Martellozzo and his winemaking father Paolo took control of a historic site in the commune of Valdobbiadene. They named it Bellussi, a moniker derived from the bellussare pruning method which is commonly used in the DOCG.
A decades-long expansion, restoring vineyards and establishing one of the most impressive wineries in the Prosecco area have made Bellussi headquarters a state-of-the-art facility which places technology at the service of terroir expression.
With its trademark delicate yet regionally pinpointed style and high-end packaging, Bellussi has become one of Australia’s foremost imports from the heart of true Prosecco. Look for the DOCG for its pure varietal flavour alongside indication of the fine terroir in its freshness and minerality, or try the DOC for a softer and highly versatile extra-dry style well-suited as an aperitif.
