Toschi

Toschi

Founded in 1945 in Vignola, Emilia-Romagna, Toschi is one of Italy’s best-known producers of fruit-based liqueurs and specialty beverages. What began as a family tradition of preserving local fruit in alcohol has evolved into an internationally recognised company exporting to more than 80 countries. While the brand is closely associated with its iconic Amarena cherries, Toschi has also built a strong reputation for traditional Italian liqueurs, including Lemoncello and Nocello, combining authentic recipes with modern production expertise and a distinctly Italian sense of provenance.

Heritage

Toschi was established in 1945 by brothers Giancarlo and Lanfranco Toschi in the cherry-growing hills of Vignola, near Modena. Inspired by a particularly abundant harvest, they transformed the local tradition of preserving fruit in alcohol into a commercial enterprise. Over the following decades, the company expanded from fruit preserves into liqueurs, spirits and speciality products, becoming a recognised ambassador for Italian food and beverage culture. Lemoncello joined the range during the 1990s, while Nocello had already established itself internationally as one of the company’s signature liqueurs.

Philosophy

Toschi’s philosophy is rooted in preserving traditional Italian flavours while maintaining the authenticity of regional ingredients and family recipes. Whether producing Lemoncello or Nocello, the emphasis remains on capturing the character of the fruit or nut at the heart of each product. This balance of heritage, quality ingredients and modern production standards has enabled Toschi to remain relevant across both domestic and export markets for more than 80 years.
