Gibson The Dirtman Shiraz

The flagship Shiraz sits at the heart of Gibson’s “Dirtborn” philosophy, rooted in Rob Gibson’s early career as a geologist and his ongoing curiosity about what the land reveals. The wine is shaped by the contrasting soils of the Barossa: the cool, mineral‑rich dirt of the eastern Eden Valley brings tension and acidity, while the warmer red soils of the northern Barossa floor contribute plush fruit and generosity. Bringing these elements together allows the team to craft a style that reflects classically rich and expressive Barossa Shiraz. It is matured for 18 months in American oak hogsheads (around 25% new).
