This is a Gibson’s expression of a classic southern Italian white variety that naturally thrives in warm, sunny climates. In the Barossa, it finds ideal growing conditions that allow the grape to develop richness while still holding onto its natural acidity. The fruit is mainly from the Gibson home vineyard, some of which was grafted over to Fiano after the team discovered both its adaptability to the climate, and the market’s love of its flavour. 100% Barossa fruit was vinified and matured entirely in stainless steel, a deliberate choice to keep the wine focused on purity, freshness and varietal clarity.
2025
The 2025 season brought one of the hottest, driest years on record, including severe spring frost and widespread drought. Yields fell sharply (30–40%) and harvest began earlier than ever before. While the season was challenging, it produced concentrated, expressive white wines with more depth and fullness than usual.
