But now joining the Alepat Taylor portfolio is the range from Distillerie Berta — the velvety smooth, elegant and complex, amber-hued counterfoil to Grappa Bianca. Ranked in Food & Wine Magazine as one of the top five Grappa brands in the world, Berta’s selection of Grappa Vecchia are all aged in Tronçais d’Allier oak barrels in the cantina under the Piemonte distillery, often up to 10 years before bottling. The extensive aging and particular attention to detail by this house produces spirits that share more in common with the finest Cognacs than with what many of us would expect of Grappa. These are spirits to completely change your mind about the category.
