We’re always proud when the winegrowers we represent receive recognition for the great wines they produce, but this one is especially close to our hearts. This wine is the inspiration of one of our directors, designed to replicate the wine style he preferred to drink with his old friends (and previous Alepat Taylor directors), three Italian migrants who found new friendships and sought the comforts of home in a new land.

The fruit is from a Coonawarra Block they’ve owned for decades, previously used for the backbone of Taylor Ferguson Wines. But in 2021, for the first time a small parcel of 30-year-old Reynella clone Cabernet Sauvignon was produced and bottled as this single vineyard wine. With 95 points and gold from the 2023 ICC Wine Show, added to 94 from Wine Pilot, we’re thinking it’s been worth the wait.
