Kettmeir is a historic winery in Alto Adige that has recently celebrated its centenary. Nestled in the imposing Dolomite Mountains (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the friendly and unhurried pace of life surrounds the farmsteads here known in Italian as ‘masi’. These typical local habitations include a farmhouse and a small plot of land, rarely larger than a hectare. For centuries these masi have been at the heart of grape growing in the region, and around 60 of these faithful grape growers supply Kettmeir. 

The sources for the Pinot Bianco and Grigio wines are varied, from the protected valley around the Lago di Caldaro, up to the precipitous limestone slopes behind the Kettmeir winery, allowing a delightful patchwork representation of any variety in each vintage. Kettmeir is a forward-thinking, environmentally sustainable winery, making wine in a traditional way to produce balanced, fragrant and lusciously textured wines, benchmarks of their region.
